Digital Engagement #5

Friday’s Audio Workshop: On Friday we had a workshop in class learning about how to create our best audio project and what resources are available for us to use. First, he mentioned to us that the DKC has a whole page that outlines steps on how to create an audio recording if you are not familiar with how to do so. He next mentioned that the DKC offers two resources they are, a recording room that has very nice equipment to help record a very clear recording and you can even record a podcast with your friend if you want to. The second resource students are allowed to use is, to check out audio equipment to help get the best quality; if you are recording while walking around it can help get the best feedback. Both of these resources he mentioned are free. He then gave the students advice for achieving the best recording. He talked about making sure to always test it out before recording all of it, he mentioned making sure you are in an area where it is quiet and no one will interrupt and lastly, he gave the class a website that is free to help us record audio and edit the recordings if we don’t have the resources. That website is, soundtrap.
