On Friday the class had a workshop about “Getting started with video projects”. What I learned from the workshop is, first make sure you start with an outline or script so you stay organized and follow along with your talking points. If you need help with a script you can go to the Speaking and Writing Center, Peer Tutors or the Library. Then we talked about filming tips. Film in a controlled and quiet environment, test and playback before you continue, record more footage than you think you need and make sure you use a high-quality mic. Resources we can use to record our projects are the vocal booth, HCC equipment like audio kits and video kits and finally the mini studio and Charnoff Production studio. Finally they gave us beginner-friendly tools for editing that we can access. Those are Canva, iMovie, Youtube studio, and Zoom.
