In the summer of 2022, I went on an art trip with a high school in my area with fourteen-plus people including students and adults. We traveled to Paris, Provence, and Barcelona. It was such an amazing experience I got to meet all new people, eat new foods, and learn about so many different diverse cultures. Paris was breathtaking. I have always wanted to travel to Paris since I was a little girl so this was a dream come true, and being able to bring my love of art together with my love of Paris and traveling was just so exciting. I went to so many beautiful places but my favorite was the Louvre. The museum is huge and a little overwhelming but just such a great feeling walking in and seeing some of the most famous works in the world. One of my favorite moments when we were there was, one night we had dinner on a little street with local shops everywhere. As we got to the restaurant there was live music playing with people dancing in the street. It was such a fun moment. Another moment that originally was a little scary but turned out to be the best night was when we didn’t have our bus to drive us back to the hotel. The whole group was panicking but while we were waiting we walked around the city and got to see the wall that said “I love you” in a thousand different languages. That moment turned out to be the best moment of the night. Down below are some pictures highlighting my trip. Some of the places in those pictures are:
– The Galerie d’Apollon
– The Cour Marly & Cour Puget in Richelieu wing
-Tuileries Palace along the Seine River
– Renommee de I’Industrie on left bank of Pont Alexandre III Bridge
– La Paix de 1815 commemorates the Treaty of Paris
-The Arc de Triomphe
-Basilica Sacre Coeur
