My college small group that is associated with my church at home went to North Carolina for the annual Fall retreat. It was such an amazing experience. I was surrounded by some of my best friends who have supported me throughout my journey in my faith. It was such a life-changing weekend I got to baptize my friend which was so amazing to be a part of. When I was there I just felt so led by the holy spirit and learned so much about who I am as a person and who I want to be in life. God’s love was just so apparent throughout the weekend. Being able to praise him and all his glory and grow to get closer to him was such an experience. Before I went I felt extremely lost but once I got there I realized what was missing in my life, God what was missing. Having a group so supportive in faith and encouraging me to get closer to the Lord is such a warming feeling. I have a loving church family by my side throughout all my ups and downs just like God has been. That weekend showed me all the signs of God pointing toward what I need in my life and reminded me of everything I have in my life. I’ve been so grateful for everything that God blessed me with. With all that we also had such a fun time having worship and swimming in the lake and all bonding as a group and it helped me also re-ground myself with life and rethink my priorities. The weather was amazing and was surrounded by beautiful nature.
